Rossignol Skis
The Rossignol Sender Soul 102 Ski
It’s back! Well, that’s not necessarily how Rossignol wants you to think about the Sender Soul 102, a brand-new ski in its reimagined freeride line. But even Rossi can’t help but lean into the warm memories associated with the dearly departed Soul 7 (2013-2019, RIP).
But though there’s definitely some family resemblance, this new-and-improved version boasts major updates. Rossignol’s Air Tip technology reduces swing weight, a progressive sidecut and twin rocker enhance maneuverability, and a metal rail embedded in the wood core boosts energy transfer. The result: all the approachability and forgiveness of the old Soul 7, but with way more all-mountain versatility.

The Sender Soul 102 earned the highest scores in the category for playfulness, quickness, and forgiveness, yet testers also consistently remarked on how stable it was. Intermediate skiers found it particularly confidence-inspiring, both on edge and in variable snow at this year’s Mt. Rose, Nevada test location. The EVO Tour Cross Country Ski
